Robert D. “Bob” Deacon, Jr., 66, Argos, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home.

Robert was born on Nov. 23, 1950 in Argos to Robert D. and Phyllis M. (Stull) Deacon. Robert has been a lifelong resident of Marshall County area. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School and retired from Young Door Company a division of JELD-WEN in 2014. Some of Robert’s hobbies included, deer hunting and playing softball. Robert truly loved sports and often cheered for the Cub’s, the Chicago Bears, and Indiana University. He enjoyed being outdoors and mowing lawns whenever he could. Robert attended the Plymouth Baptist Church.

Robert is survived by his father, three sisters and two brothers; he is preceded in passing by his mother on Nov. 24, 2011 and his paternal grandparents.

The Van Gilder Home is honored to be caring for the Deacon family. A private graveside service was held.
