Sheriff Requests Additional Appropriations Approval From Kosciusko County Council
WARSAW — Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine came before the Kosciusko County Council on Thursday, April 13, requesting additional appropriations to pay for vehicle repairs for a deputy’s vehicle that had been driven off the road earlier this year.
Rovenstine explained the accident had occurred on one of the deputy’s first nights on duty. On Jan. 20, Deputy Sheriff Lou Mediano had been attempting to assist another officer with a report of a possibly intoxicated driver with a vehicle stuck in the mud. The deputy was on his way to assist with the incident, when his vehicle left the roadway in a curve at county roads 900S and 675W, near Loon Lake.
The council unanimously approved a motion to grant the sheriff’s department an additional $8,825 in appropriations for the vehicle repairs.
