Advertising, So Easy A Caveman Can Do It?
WARSAW — Recent sightings of a caveman wandering through Warsaw and Winona Lake have some locals perplexed.
Michelle Smith LeDrew, owner of a business on Buffalo Street, shared her experience on Facebook about the unusual sighting.
“The caveman walked into my boutique, stopped, stared me down without a word. I froze in my tracks. He then walked out, walked across the street and stopped and looked in every window,” LeDrew wrote.
Several other individuals have taken to social media to share pictures of their sightings of the caveman. He has been seen walking through the Winona Lake Trails and downtown Warsaw.
The Warsaw Police Department received a phone call on Wednesday, April 26, with a report of a sighting. They have no reports of the club carrying man causing harm to locals.
Ink Free News tracked down the origin of the caveman. It turns out the stunt is an advertising ploy for the new local business “Warsaw Caveman.”
The owner, who wished to remain unnamed, stated he began wandering through the area wearing the costume Tuesday evening. He states that he has been walking through town, taking pictures with locals.
“I was just trying to create a buzz,” said the owner.
The caveman stated he would like to set the record straight from previous media reports. Another local report warned locals to keep watch for a wandering caveman weighing roughly 250 pounds. He countered that he actually weighs 180 pounds.
