Milford Public Library News And Events
MILFORD — The following events will take place at the Milford Public Library:
THANKS TO MILFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS
The library appreciates the hard working volunteers do to help the library run smoothly. Regular volunteers, Barb Beer, Carol Haab, Nica Brito, Sam Kolberg, Janna Stollery, and Heather Pickens, shelve materials and occasionally assist with library programs. In honor of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, volunteers were given a small tote bag and a fruit/flavor infuser drinking bottle. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the library at
(574) 658-4312. Volunteering at the library is great community service and is something to include on your college applications. Volunteers do make the world a brighter place.
ADULT CRAFT NIGHT
Adults can create paper dahlias in their choice of colors 6:30 p.m. May 8. These beautiful flowers are the perfect spring decoration. Sign up at the Adult Circulation Desk by 6 p.m. Friday, May 5. A small fee is required when individuals sign up. All supplies are provided. There is a limit of eight people.
TEA PARTY STORY TIME
Children ages three to six will love the library’s last spring story time of the season. They’re invited to a tea party, where they’ll listen to stories, make a new stuffed animal friend and share some delicious treats. The library will provide lemonade and tea, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches and cream puffs, to name a few of the tasty foods we will serve children and their guests. Children bringing a guest are encouraged to let the library staff know, so they can plan accordingly. Children may also dress up for tea time. Story time is at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays or 7p.m. Thursdays. Story tiime will resume this summer with special guest storytellers at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. Fridays beginning June 9.
