Tippecanoe Valley Schools Announces Summer Food Service Program
AKRON — The Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation has announced plans to participate in the Summer Food Service Program. Free meals will be made available to all children 18 years of age and under and to persons over 18 years who are enrolled in a state-approved educational program for the mentally or physically disabled. Free meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found here, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. Free meals will be provided beginning May 30 and ending July 25.
At Mentone Elementary School, breakfast will be provided from May 30 through June 21. No breakfast on June 16. Lunch will be provided Monday-Friday from May 30 through July 25. No meals will be served on July 3 and 4.
At Tippecanoe Valley High School, breakfast will be provided May 30 through July 25. No meals will be served at the high school on June 30, July 7, 14 and 21. Lunch will be provided from May 30 through July 25. No meals will be served on July 3 and 4.
