The home was completely engulfed when it was called in after someone nearby witnessed flames.
WARSAW — Around 6 a.m. Atwood Fire and Mentone EMS were dispatched to a fire at 6256 W. CR 100N, Warsaw, the location of Isaiah 11 Counseling Center and Animal Refuge. Mentone Fire assisted with a tanker and Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department were also on scene.
When fire teams arrived the home was already fully engulfed in flames.
Linda Ozier, Claypool, bought the residence in 2011 to expand her counseling and animal rescue business, Isaiah 11 Ministry. The property had a modular home with attached garage and a barn. No one resides at the residence.
It was reported that several dogs, cats, birds and a large fish tank were inside the building, with Ozier’s supply of dog and cat food kept inside of the garage. The home was completely devastated.
Outside, the barn and agricultural animals kept on the property were not affected by the fire. Several barn cats were also unharmed.
It is anticipated that donations of dog and cat food will be needed to feed the remaining animals. If you are interested in donating, contact Linda at (574) 549-8071. More contact information can be found on Isaiah 11’s website and Facebook.
