SYRACUSE — The duo of Anthon Anker and Josh Webber finished in first place at the state Academic Super Bowl competition Saturday, May 6, at Purdue University.

Anker and Webber make up the social studies Academic Super Bowl team for Wawasee High School. Wawasee earned 21 points at Saturday’s competition, edging NorthWood’s 20, followed by Western with 16 and Rushville, West Lafayette and Evansville Reitz all with 14 in Class 2.

Mary Lou Dixon is the coach of the social studies team.

Academic Super Bowl is a program sponsored by the Indiana Association of School Principals.
