Kosciusko Chamber Promotes Sustainable Business Practices
WARSAW — The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce has just published a webpage to help local businesses develop sustainable practices.
The website is for the Community Green Works committee that meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 1 p.m. at the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, 523 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
The website states: “The Community Green Works Committee is a group of dedicated professionals that evaluate, promote and facilitate environmentally sustainable practices for businesses in Kosciusko County. Organizations such as The Watershed Foundation, Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams, The City of Warsaw, Lake City Bank, and KC Recycling Depot have collaborated to bring you the latest information and resources for your business.”
The website links to resources to help businesses be sustainable, including a checklist of sustainable business practices and lists of local waste regulations and recycling. Need to know where to dispose of something specific? Check it out.
The site also promotes sustainable farming, providing contact information for agencies that can assist with setting up green farming practices.
