Car, Tractor, Motorcycle Show Revs Up Milford Fest
MILFORD — Luckily for the 2017 Milford Fest, the threatening skies held out for the car, truck, tractor and motorcycle show. Allowing 67 entrants to show off an impressive array of vehicles — covering 20 different categories — with something for every taste: old, new and everything in between.
Many participants, such as Milford resident Emily Bischof, make a point of showing every year, thanks to the “easygoing” atmosphere and the diversity of activities, such as the multitude of garage sales, taking place during Milford Fest. “There are a lot of repeats because we love the show,” Bischof exclaimed. “The entry fee is not enough for all the fun I have.”
Another participant, Max Beer, reckoned he had been showing his Corvettes at the show since it started around 25 years ago.
Nicole Dippon, owner of Milford Party Pack, a long time sponsor of the car show, thanked participants for a “spectacular show” made possible by the “time, energy and effort” they devote to their vehicles before announcing Dave Granger of Oswego the Best in Show trophy winner for his turquoise 1957 Corvette.
Lake Wawasee resident Mike Tiltges showed his yellow, 1948 Jeep Willys just long enough to win the People’s Choice award before spiriting the vehicle away for fear of rain.
