Sheriff’s Department Announces Promotion Of Shively And Smith
KOSCIUSKO — Kosciusko County Chief Deputy Sheriff Rocky Goshert has announced the promotions of two sheriff’s department deputies. Travis Shively and James Smith were recently promoted to the position of Sergeant and Corporal, respectively.
Sergeant Shively is currently assigned to the night shift of the road division. Shively is also the department’s canine handler, defensive tactics and training instructor, and has been a liaison for the Kosciusko County Reserve Academy for numerous years.
Corporal Smith is also assigned to the night shift of the road division, and is currently a member of the Kosciusko County Dive Team, responsible for rescue and recovery if needed due to the various 104 lakes in Kosciusko County.
Goshert stated that Shively and Smith were both selected from a large group of excellent candidates within the sheriff’s department.
