Bird Flies Through Main Street Mile
COLUMBIA CITY – In a one-mile dash for the gold at the Old Settler’s Main Street Mile, Sam Bird had the fastest feet.
Bird won the annual ‘sprint’ at 4:48, topping Aiden Burke’s 4:51 and Ty Alles’ 4:53 in the event held in downtown Columbia City Saturday morning.
Brian Shepherd continued to lay claim to the Masters’ chair, winning his division at 5:12 and Kirstin Alles was the top overall female with a time of 5:59.
