Gargett Officially Elected To Township Board
SYRACUSE — Sylvia Gargett, Syracuse, was officially elected to the Turkey Creek Township Advisory Board tonight, Thursday, June 29. The brief Republican Caucus was held in the Syracuse Town Hall with five of the six precinct committeemen present.
Mike Ragan, county Republican chairman, presided over the brief caucus. Also present were members of the township advisory board and Mickey Scott, Turkey Creek Township Fire Chief. All members of the party’s central committee were also present.
Gargett gave a brief speech before the voting took place, thanking the precinct committeemen for the opportunity. She noted she has been involved in community projects for a number of years and wishes to continue to share her time and talents by serving on the township board.
“I will do my best to represent the community on the Turkey Creek Advisory Board to the best of my ability,” stated Gargett.
