2017 Winona Lake Cutie Contest Winners Crowned
WINONA LAKE — Prince and Princess Winona and King and Queen Winona have been crowned at the 2017 Cutie Contest. The prince and princess are ages 3-4, and the king and queen are 5-6. The contest took place Saturday, July 1, at the Senior Center in Winona Lake.
2017 Miss Teen Kosciusko County Fair Queen Kyla Kohler, Warsaw, interviewed the contestants, who were called up to the stage individually and asked a series of questions. The contestants answered questions such as what their favorite food is and what they want to be when they grow up. Favorite food answers included everything from pizza to sushi. Some of the responses to what they would like to be when they grow up included movie star, mom and firefighter. When it was his turn, Alexander Leeper’s answer to that question was, “A police officer to make a better world,” which was a big hit with the crowd.
In the 3-4 category, Olivia Pahl was crowned Princess Winona and Blake Hochstetler was crowned Prince Winona.
In the 5-6 category, Camryn Conroy was crowned Queen Winona and Alexander Leeper was crowned King Winona.
Pahl is the daughter of Michael and Stephanie Pahl, Winona Lake. Hochstetler is the son of Jeremy and Kristi Hochstetler, Warsaw.
Conroy is the daughter of Larry and Jennifer Conroy, Warsaw. Leeper is the son of John and Paula Leeper, Warsaw.
