Second Annual Barbee Lakes Flotilla
WARSAW— There couldn’t have been a more perfect day than Sunday, July 2 for the second annual Barbee Lakes Flotilla.
The sun was shining, the air was warm and the lakes were buzzing with activity.
Among the swimmers and boat enthusiasts, a number of groups cruised around in festive attire and decorations.
The theme for this year’s flotilla was “favorite holiday.”
Several participants dusted off the Halloween decorations while others brushed up on their Christmas carols and took to the water. Other entries included Thanksgiving, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter and the Fourth of July.
The flotilla was actually held as two separate events with separate winners. It was formerly three separate events during last year’s “favorite sports” theme.
First place for the Sechrist/Irish Lakes went to Jim Thompson and Natalie Maenharp for their “Trick or Treat” theme. Second place went to Jodi Beebe for her St. Patrick’s Day decorated boat.
