Kosciusko County Taco Wars
KOSCIUSKO — After Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau announced American Legion Post 253 in North Webster was voted best burger in the 2014 Burger Wars, and The Café at The Bowling Alley in Warsaw was voted best pizza in the 2015 Pizza Wars, it is time to set sights on Tacos! The Kosciusko CVB is proud to announce this year’s Taco Wars. Up to ten restaurants will be nominated to compete in an online voting contest to see who makes the best Taco in Kosciusko County.
The nomination phase for Taco Wars recently kicked off and is hosted on Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau’s website VisitKosciuskoCounty.org. The nomination phase will go through July 19. After the top ten restaurants have been nominated they will move onto the voting rounds to find out who makes the best Taco in the county. The voting round will kick off July 21 and will end on July 31. On July 31 the Kosciusko CVB will crown the “Best Taco in Kosciusko” and the winner will move on to the regional round to compete against the other county winners to vie for “Best Taco in Indiana’s Cool North”. The regional round kicks off Aug. 4 and will finish on Aug. 14.
Let customers’ voices be heard! Voters can log in to vote each day to make sure their favorite restaurant gets the credit it deserves. Voters can keep checking the website and Visit Kosciusko County Facebook page. Most importantly, voters are encouraged to sign in and vote each round for a chance to win the grand prize of $25 gift certificate to the winning restaurant announced at the end of the competition.
Kosciusko County Taco Wars is running simultaneously with six other county Taco Wars as part of the Indiana’s Cool North Taco Wars project. Indiana’s Cool North Taco Wars is a joint initiative of the Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission and its member convention and visitor bureaus in Kosciusko, Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Marshall, Elkhart and LaGrange counties.
