E. Elaine Alderfer, 70, Greenfield, and formerly of northern Fulton County, passed at 6:17 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital of Greenfield, Indiana.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1946 in Rochester. to Louis E. and Louise E. (Windbigler) Kelly.

She married on Aug. 7, 1966 at the Walnut Gospel Church in Argos. to Roger L. Alderfer, who survives.

She had worked for the former Torin/Brookside Corporation in Rochester, Ind.

She was a graduate of Mentone High School in 1966. She was a Master Gardener and was a member of the Herb Society.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; her siblings: Patricia Johnson, Rochester; Mary Downs, Houlton, Maine; Barbara Widner and Kenny Michael, Logansport; Paul Kelly, Anaheim, Calif.; N. Jean Kelly and Dave B., Elkhart; M. Janet Kelly, Evanston, Ill.; James Kelly and wife Deb, Rochester; Evelyn Barton and husband Tim, Mentone; Douglas Kelly, Warsaw; and Brian Kelly, residence unlisted. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her parents, Louis E. and Louise E. Kelly.

A time of visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m., Friday, July 21 at King Memorial Home, Mentone with the service following directly after. Rev. Dale Doran will officiate.
