UPDATE: Two Charged With Multiple Felonies Following Mobile Meth Lab At Westhaven Estates
WARSAW — Around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, a separate investigation led investigators to 3762 W. Old Road 30 in Westhaven Estates on the West side of Warsaw. At that time, items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine, including a mobile meth lab were observed in plain view in a vehicle.
Members of the Warsaw Narcotics Unit were assisted in the dismantling of the lab and clean-up efforts by the Indiana State Police and Winona Lake Police Department meth teams. In addition, the Warsaw/Wayne Fire Territory and Atwood Fire Departments were called to the scene as a precaution during the clean-up of dangerous chemicals.
Robert Alan Nelson Jr., 52, Elkhart, was charged with level 3 felony manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, corrupt business influence, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,250 surety bond.
Ryan James McBride, 24, of LaGrange, was charged with corrupt business influence, possession of precursors, theft, and visiting a common nuisance. He is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $10,250 surety bond.
Additionally, this investigation led to a juvenile male being detained in the St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center, pending further investigation.
