Warsaw Fire Gearing Up For Annual Family Safety Day
WARSAW — A grant application and a rental contract were approved in association with Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory’s annual Family Safety Day during the board meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
This year’s Family Safety Day will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9. The event brings together local clubs, service organizations and public safety organizations to provide health and safety information to members of the community. The event will take place at Central Park and is free and open to the public.
The board approved applying for a Kosciusko REMC Operation Round Up grant to help fund this year’s event. The grant has been used in association with the event in year’s past. If received, the grant could cover $2,000.
A rental contract was also approved by the board. Shutter Blast Photo Booth Rental will be attending Family Safety Day. They will offer a chance for children to dress up as a firefighter, police officer or EMS employee. The children will then have their photo taken and receive copies of the picture to take home.

- Station #3 bids are out and will be opened at the Aug. 18 Board of Works meeting. The bid is expected to be awarded at the Sept. 1 Board of Works meeting.
