MENTONE — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that SR 19, between West Monroe Street and SR 25 in Mentone, is scheduled to close at 6 a.m. on the morning of Monday, Aug. 7, weather permitting. The closure will allow Norfolk Southern to rebuild the railroad crossing.

The official state detour is SR 25 to SR 331 to SR 10. Local detours may be available.

The work, which will improve the driving surface for motorists, is anticipated to be completed by 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, weather permitting.
