Triton School Corporation, LHN KCH Announce 10-year Community Partnership
BOURBON — Representatives of Triton School Corporation and Lutheran Health Network Kosciusko Community Hospital have announced a 10-year partnership that will support the students and faculty with health education while encouraging overall wellness. As part of the collaboration, Triton School Corporation will use funds for the enhancement of health education, wellness, academics, athletic programs and capital projects.
Lutheran Health Network KCH strives to make a positive influence that extends beyond the walls of its facilites. This is demonstrated every day through active participation in the wellness, growth and vibrancy of the community. Lutheran Health Network KCH officials call the opportunity to partner with Triton School Corporation an exciting step in the ongoing pursuit of those goals.
“We have had a positive relationship with Triton for eight years through having our athletic training program in place. In talking with school administration, KCH can bring health education and wellness resources that can enhance the well-being of students, faculty and community members. We recognize that Triton administrators have the same priorities regarding community health improvements,” said Kirk Ray, chief executive officer, Lutheran Health Network KCH.
“Triton School Corporation is appreciative of all the services Lutheran Health Network has provided to Triton over the last eight years and we’re looking forward to continuing this healthy partnership going into the future,” said Donna Burroughs, Triton School Corporation Superintendent. “We are pleased about Lutheran Health Network KCH’s investment of time and resources that expands beyond the athletic training program. We look forward to a long-term relationship that can have a positive impact on our youth as well as the community.”
Other parts of the sponsorship include KCH Rehabilitation Center providing athletic training and sports medicine services; a MedStat Fast Pass provided to Triton School Corporation employees allowing school staff to be seen more efficiently at MedStat locations in Warsaw, Syracuse and Nappanee; CPR training as well as other health education support.
