Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:55 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, North CR 700W, west of West CR 100N, Atwood. Drivers: Nathan S. Drudge, 41, East Indiana Avenue, Nappanee, and Dennis J. Pletcher, 61, West CR 25S, Etna Green Drudge disregarded the stop sign and struck the Pletcher vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
2:32 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, West CR 1350N, east of North CR 950W, Nappanee. Drivers: Kenneth Tener, 69, North SR 19, Nappanee, and Fannie Troyer, 32, West CR 1300N, Nappanee. Tenner suffered minor bleeding to the face but refused treatment. Tenner fell asleep while driving causing his vehicle to swerve across the roadway. He attempted to swerve to miss a horse drawn buggy driven by Troyer, but struck the rear passenger side wheel, causing the horse to break free. His vehicle then went off the north side of the roadway and hit a utility police. Damage up to $10,000.
4:36 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, West CR 500S, west of South CR 550W, Claypool. Amanda M. Truex, 29, Pontiac Street, Rochester. Raccoon hit. Damage up to $5,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, East Camp Mack Road, Milford. Driver: Holly S. Ousley, 46, East CR 725S, Pierceton. Ousley turned into a parking lot and struck a concrete barrier. Damage up to $10,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:53 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, US 30 west of SR 13, Pierceton. Drivers: Scott A. Parker, 23, Lake View Drive, Indianapolis, and James C. Szumanski, no age or town given. Szumanski was operating a vehicle registered to Gregory D. Songer, Caroline Drive, Coldwater, Mich. Parker suffered minor bleeding to the head and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Bryan R. Reyes, 21, West Indiana Avenue, South Bend, a passenger in Szumanski’s vehicle suffered minor bleeding to the shoulder/upper arm. Police do not indicate if he was transported to the hospital. Parker was west on US 30 and was merging across the passing lane to the left turn lane. He was unable to stop behind the red light indicator, coming to stop in the middle of the intersection. He made the decision to move his semitractor/trailer out of the middle of the intersection and as he started to turn left, toward SR 13, he failed to see the eastbound truck coming through the intersection. The semitractor collided with the front driver side of the straight truck pushing it off the roadway. Damage up to $50,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:28 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Driver: Christina D. Beliles, 18, Wesford Place, Warsaw. Beliles was backing her vehicle from a parking space, hitting the parked vehicle behind her vehicle. The parked vehicle is registered to Felicia V. Cleto, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.
