Hither And Yon Host Final Home Goods Sale, At New Location
WARSAW — This Friday and Saturday, Aug. 25 and 26, Hither & Yon will be hosting their final home goods sale at Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe, located at 4217 W. Old Rd 30, Warsaw.
The event will include everything from repurposed furniture to other beautiful and unique home furnishings including pillows, lamps, wall art and other craft items. All of the proceeds will be used to support education for children in Zambia – for whom a high school graduation can be life altering.
This will be the fourth and final annual sale for Hither & Yon, an event people really look forward to attending. As a ministry of Mission Point Community Church, Hither & Yon exists with the sole focus of fostering hope through education.
“While it is bittersweet, we are very excited to host this final sale at Creighton’s Crazy Egg Cafe,” said Laurie Victa, manager of Hither & Yon. “We have made such an impact in the lives of the students in our scholarship program and we want to finish strong with one last sale.”
Through a partnership with a group of churches in rural Zambia, Hither & Yon has been able to establish an education project and identify students that are at risk for dropping out of school due to financial hardship.
“At this point we have committed to supporting a group of children through high school, which will empower them and offer a whole new world of opportunity. All of the proceeds from this sale will be used to support those children,” says Victa.
While people can simply donate to the cause, the goal is to offer something in return. “This is a real opportunity to put your money to work. Shopping the sale allows you to purchase with a purpose – and bring home something unique at the same time!”
The doors will open at Creighton’s Crazy Egg Café at 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information about Hither & Yon and the children they support, and to see pictures of some of the items for sale, please visit www.facebook.com/HitherAndYonStore.
