Tritch Secures Early Endorsement From 3rd District Democrats
KOSCIUSKO — Indiana 3rd District Democratic hopeful Courtney Tritch secured an important early endorsement from the Indiana 3rd District Democrats.
This group represents the Democratic infrastructure among the one dozen counties that make up the 3rd Congressional District. The current chair of the 3rd District is Bob Holbrook. The winner of the May 8, 2018 primary will face incumbent Rep. Jim Banks (R-Columbia City) in the general election in November 2018.
“The 3rd District Democrats are proud to endorse Courtney Tritch in the congressional race to represent area voters,” said Holbrook. “Her message and experience in economic development speak to those concerned about building a stronger northeast Indiana. She understands that in order to build a vibrant and strong 3rd District, each Hoosier must have effective and responsive Congressional representation.”
Tritch’s campaign has been building steadily since its July 6 official launch and the early endorsement by the district Democratic party helps pave the way toward the primary.
“We are grateful to have this early commitment to our campaign by the 3rd District Democrats,” Tritch said. “We look forward to getting past the May primary and taking on incumbent Rep. Jim Banks over issues such as economic development, access to healthcare and fiscal efficiency. This district deserves a voice that represents all who live here, and a leader who is accessible and responsive to their needs.”
Tritch is a former vice president of marketing for the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, a small business owner and community activist. Over the past few years, she has become active in political and social causes, founding the area’s Progressive Social Hour. Because of her background in economic development, Tritch focuses on fiscal efficiency in government. Her areas of concern for northeast Indiana include economic development, healthcare, education, and clean energy.
