WARSAW — An Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregivers Support Group will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the Parkview Center for Healthy Living, located inside the YMCA, 1305 Mariners Drive, Warsaw. 

The meeting is sponsored by Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services/REAL Services. Come occasionally or regularly to meet others who are looking for information, need support and desire to make a positive difference in the life of someone who has dementia.

This month’s topic will introduce people to Art Therapy to Stimulate the Mind and the Soul.  This could be of particular interest to those who help someone who is in the early stages of a diagnosed condition causing memory loss.  We will also talk about an upcoming program called Living Life Well offered by Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services specifically for persons diagnosed with memory loss. 

The monthly meetings are facilitated by Karen Kauffman, who has been educating and facilitating small group discussions on many types of dementia and their challenges for more than 10 years. 

The next meeting will beat 1 p.m. on Oct. 3.
