Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

2:51 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, South SR 25 and West CR 250S, Warsaw. Driver: Gregory L. Heller, 57, Bessmore Park Road, Rochester. Heller’s vehicle went off the roadway, hitting an INDOT sign and an advertisement sign. Damage up to $10,000.

10:41 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, South SR 25 and South Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver: Celina Nunez, 31, West CR 250S, Lot 89, Warsaw. Nunez’s vehicle slid on the wet roadway going around a curve, spinning around and went into a ditch. Damage up to $2,500.

12:05 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, North Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Eugene O. Rollins, 77, East CR 1000N, Syracuse, and Judy E. Kipfer, 71, East Waco Drive, Syracuse. Rollins backed his vehicle from the car wash because it was closed and hit the front of the Kipfer vehicle stopped behind him. Damage up to $2,500.

11:09 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, West US 30, west of West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael D. Borzosh, 51, P.O. Box, Perris, Calif., and Jim Bricker, 81, Baker Road, Shelby, Ohio. A gust of wind blew his semitractor into the other lane of travel causing his front wheel to make contact with the Bricker vehicle driver’s side door. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9:57 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, South Huntington Street, north of East Pickwick, Syracuse. Driver: Kate A. Weisser, 16, North CR 175E, Milford. Weisser was backing from a parking space and hit a parked vehicle registered to Kaitlynn M. Christian, North Blacks Court E, North Webster. Damage up to $2,500.

3:37 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, East Lake View Road, Syracuse. Driver: Heather J. Lechlitner, 38, North SR 19, Nappanee. Lechlitner was backing her vehicle from a parking spot and struck Donna K. Schrock, 89, Golfside Drive, Naples, Fla., who was walking behind Lechlitner’s vehicle. Schrock suffered a bruise and small laceration above her left eye but refused medical transport. Damage up to $5,000.

8:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, East Lake View Road, Syracuse. Driver: Jamie E. Balciauskas, 36, Hampton Road, Galien, Mich. Balciauskas turned too sharp when parking and struck a parked vehicle registered to Ean Holdings LLC, East 21st St., Suite 1500, Tulsa, Okla. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

4:25 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, West Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Martha L. Ault, 90, Shady Lane, Warsaw, and Alice P. Ladd, 87, Sunset Drive, Warsaw. Ault went to back her vehicle from a parking spot and collided with the Ladd vehicle being driven through the parking lot. Damage up to $2,500.

7:08 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, West Lake Street, Warsaw. Driver: Pamela J. Addair, 63, West Warren Drive, Warsaw. Addair was pulling into a parking lot, when the driver of a Jeep backed from a parking space fast hitting her vehicle. When Addair went to call police the driver left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.

3:48 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, SR 15 and East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Brandon R. Scharf, 27, North Columbia Street, Warsaw, and Karen A. Slone, 67, West CR 300S, Warsaw. Scharf did not notice the traffic light had turned red for southbound traffic, entering the intersection and hitting the eastbound Slone vehicle which had entered the intersection. Damage up to $5,000.
