Metzger Trucking, Chore-Time Partnership To Help Hurricane Victims
SILVER LAKE — A shipment of eight skids of perishable foods, dry goods and bottled water were generously donated by Chore-Time employees in Milford. They gathered these resources to help one of their long-time customers, Cal-Maine Foods. Cal-Maine Foods is a major egg producer in the USA. Many of Cal-Maine’s employees near their Wharton, Texas operation were impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Numerous employees lost everything they owned.
Jeff Miller, vice president and general manager of Chore-Time, said, “We were happy to have this opportunity to help the employees of our loyal customer, Cal-Maine Foods, that were devastated by Hurricane Harvey. I can’t express enough gratitude to the Chore-Time employees that immediately stepped up and donated generously and willingly. Likewise, we appreciate the assist from our partners at Metzger Trucking for delivering these supplies. It was truly a team effort.”
