North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:42 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, North CR 850E and East Backwater Road, North Webster. Driver: Mylynn G. Sherwood, 30, EMS W26 Lane, North Webster. Sherwood complained of back pain but refused medical treatment. Sherwood’s vehicle went off the roadway hitting a sign and going into a yard. Sherwood was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, South Syracuse-Webster Road and East Chicago Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Larry D. Rock, 55, Blackford Drive, Tippecanoe, and Nakole M. Weber, 47, North Pawnee Road, Syracuse. Rock failed to stop his vehicle at the intersection and struck the side of a school bus driven by Weber. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, East Fort Wayne Street, west of North Harrison Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Eva G. Maciel, 44, Steve Street, Auburn, and Ryne M. Robinson, 26, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Maciel’s vehicle collided with the Robinson vehicle when she attempted to turn onto Fort Wayne Street. Damage up to $2,500.
6:58 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, SR 15 and Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Clayton T. Harshman, 18, East CR 300S, Akron, and Harlan M. Merchant, 67, South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Harshman’s vehicle stuck the back of a school bus, driven by Merchant, when the back end swung out into Harshman’s lane of travel. Damage up to $25,000.
Elkhart
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
1:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, SR 19 and CR 36, Wakausa. Drivers: Christina L. Hunsberger, 48, Wakarusa, and Rickey Terry, 52, Syracuse. Injured: Terry suffered a possible broken left arm and was taken to Goshen Hospital. Hunsberger failed to yield to the Terry vehicle when turning off SR 19 onto CR 36. Hunsberger was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
