Volleyball
Tippecanoe Valley’s volleyball team suffered a three-game loss at Rochester Monday night, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23.
Sophie Bussard finished with 12 kills and an ace to lead the Lady Vikings attack. Olivia Trippiedi dug up 10 balls, and Emily Peterson passed out 26 assists. Peterson and Amy Baca tallied two block assists apiece in the loss, which dropped Valley 20-11 overall and 4-3 in the Three Rivers Conference.
The Valley JV also lost, 25-10, 25-22.
Kennedie Brooks notched six digs and three aces. Mackenzie Costello recorded four kills. Alexis Evans served up three aces, and Hayley Backus recorded a block at the net as the Valley JV slipped to 20-8.
The Vikings host Whitko Wednesday and Southwood Thursday.
Junior high cross country
The Valley Middle School Cross Country teams competed at the RRC meet Saturday.
The boys put up a 132 score for fifth place, and the girls scored 129 for sixth.
Nolan Cumberland placed 18th with a time of 11:52.8 to lead the Viking boys. Logan Hummitch (12:25) was 27th, Kynan Cords (12:33) and Carson Craft (12:34) were 31st and 32nd, and Cooper Walls (12:46) was 36th.
Chesnee Miller clocked 12:36 to pace the Vikings in eighth place in the girls race. Maria Henderson (13:22) was 25th, Ella Myers (13:35) placed 31st, Brittany Benn (13:44) crossed the line in 35th, and Talia Holder (13:53) was 38th.
