Trella M. Grossman
Trella McGee Grossman, 82, Silver Lake, died at 11:05 a.m., Oct. 3, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on June 30, 1935 in Bourbon to John Ervin Scott and Minnie Mae (Elkins) Scott. Trella married George C. Grossman on Nov. 23, 1954 and there after had seven children.
Trella worked at Burger Chef which changed to Hardees where she retired after 28 years of employment as a crew manager. She has always been a farmer’s wife and enjoyed reading books, crossword puzzles and scratch off lottery tickets.
Surviving Trella are three daughters: Trina (spouse Bart) Conley of Rochester; Carla (spouse Jim) Beery of Akron; Della Conley of Warsaw; four sons: Rodney J. Grossman of Silver Lake; Dan A. “Jake” (spouse Arissa) of Akron; Calvin A. Grossman of Argos; Chad E. Grossman of Fayetteville, Ga.; one sister: Vada Owens of Plymouth; 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way.
Proceeding Trella in death were her parents, her husband, George on Aug. 21, 1997, seven brothers, two sisters; four granddaughters: Ashley, Angela, Catherine and Jenny Lynn
Visitation and Viewing will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester, Street, Akron. After visitation, there will be a graveside service at the cemetery officiated by Rev. Mike Roher. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
