WARSAW – The Lakeview Middle School 8th grade volleyball team captured another piece of hardware for the school’s trophy cases Wednesday night.

Lakeview beat Milford and Plymouth to win the conference tournament championship. Lakeview topped Milford in the semifinals and then beat Plymouth 25-17, 25-15 in the title match.

Cora West had five kills and eight aces to lead the way for the champions.

Abbie Porter had four aces and 12 assists and Kyle Smith four kills and four aces. Sara Peugh had two kills and Tori Jones and Wrigley Crabtree each had one.

The Lakeview 7th grade team beat Milford 25-10, 25-16 in the semifinals. Tessa Graney had six aces and four assists in the win. Madi Desenberg had three kills and Mallory Mulligan two kills and four aces.

Lakeview then lost to Edgewood in the title match 25-24, 25-16. Caitlyn Patrick led the team with seven kills and a block.

The Lakeview 7th grade ladies finish their season at 26-6.
