UPDATED: Dirck Files For County Commissioner-Middle District
WARSAW — Sheal A. Dirck, Warsaw, has filed his candidacy for Kosciusko County Commissioner-Middle District, with Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee Chairman Mike Ragan.
A caucus of all county Republican precinct committeemen will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the historic Kosciusko Circuit Courtroom, Kosciusko County Courthouse, 100 W. Center St., Warsaw. The caucus will be held to elect a new county commissioner from the middle district to fill the remaining term of Ron Truex. Truex resigned from his position after learning he had moved outside the district boundaries.
“Actually I had heard earlier, we talked about it at the fair in July, that Truex was not running again. I thought I’d like to do that and had three more years to decide. But circumstances changed,” Dirck, a Warsaw native, stated. “I’ve enjoyed helping people, with the fair and what better way to help more people.
“I’ve lived here all my life. It’s a way to give back to the community.”
Dirck graduated from Warsaw High School in 1988 and attended Manchester University for one year, before going to Lynn University, Boca Raton, Fla., where he graduated in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
He is president of Mavron Inc., Warsaw, a position he has held for the past 16 years. Prior to being named president he was a financial controller for the company for 13 years. Currently Dirck is treasurer of the Kosciusko County Community Fair Inc. He has served on the board of directors for the fair for 12 years. He served three one-year terms as president during that time.
