Glam Hosting Third Anniversary Gala And Fundraiser, Flight #G3
WARSAW — Local women’s fashion boutique Glam, located at 212 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, is turning three this month, and is celebrating with “Flight #G3,” Glam’s annual fashion gala and fundraiser, 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.
To honor owner Michelle Smith LeDrew’s father Charlie Smith and her brother Scott Smith, who passed away in 2015, a portion of proceeds from the event will go towards the Smithstrong Foundation Fund.
The Smithstrong Foundation Fund was established by LeDrew and Ryan Smith in honor of Charlie and Scott. The fund helps Tippecanoe Valley High School honor an outstanding athlete “who exemplifies the values that Charlie and Scott demonstrated in their daily lives” annually. Charlie served as Tippecanoe Valley’s first football coach; Scott was a TVHS 1990 graduate and student athlete.
To further honor Charlie, the gala will take place at the Smith family hangar at Warsaw Municipal Airport.
“The secret location of our gala is revealed,” said LeDrew, appearing in a Facebook video with her son on Sept. 14. “So much thought and prayer has gone into this decision. Know that it is a labor of love and honor. This place is so very special to me and my family and was a place to gather, to celebrate and live life with a sense of purpose and adventure. It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Smith Aviation hangar. We will continue to live strong and spread our wings.”
Following the aeronautical theme, tickets are being sold in categories of first class VIP, business class and coach. VIP tickets have been sold out since mid-September. LaDrew announced on the Facebook event page that more business class tickets had been added after those, too, had sold out.
