Ronald L. Steininger
Ronald L. Steininger, 78, Cromwell, passed away at 8:24 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at Avalon Village in Ligonier. He was born Jan. 10, 1939 the son of Omer and Ida Belle (Woodcox) Steininger in Rochester.
On June 23, 2001 he married Linda Bassett; she preceded him in death on May 12, 2013.
He is survived by three children, Robert (Cindy) Steininger of Fayettville, N.C., Evon Steininger of Kokomo, and Elise Brown of Kokomo; seven grandchildren, Kala, Corbin, Aaron, Morgan, Kirsten, Robert, and Timothy; five great-grandchildren, Maddison, Cadence, Matthew, Chad, and Ian; two siblings, Mary Nordenbock of Peru, and Donald (Char) Steininger of Findlay, Ohio; along with two stepchildren Tim (Audrey) Smith, and Scott (Twila) Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Loretta and Judy.
Ronald retired from Chrysler Transmission in Kokomo and then worked for NISCO in Topeka for another 15 years. He served in the Army National Guard for ten years and attended the Ligonier Evangelical Church. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and loved his dog Missy.
A funeral service will be held in Ronald’s honor at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Troy Diersing will officiate.
Family and friends will be received from 4-6 p.m.prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Ligonier Evangelical Church.
