NORTH WEBSTER — Who doesn’t love to win prizes? At North Webster Community Public Library’s Family Bingo, everybody wins. Kids of all ages will have fun playing bingo 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, during their day off from school for trimester break. Multiple rounds are played with lots of chances to win, and everyone goes home with multiple prizes.
More family fun continues 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, for family movie time. Showing is a 2017 animated superhero comedy about two overly imaginative pranksters who hypnotize their school principal into thinking he is a ridiculously enthusiastic, dimwitted superhero who capers around in his underwear. The movie is rated PG and runs 89 minutes. Families are encouraged to bring their own drinks and help themselves to the free popcorn.
Lego Club is slated for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, for children ages five to 12. Enjoy freestyle Lego building with your child and see what you can create. Playing with Legos is more than just fun. It helps children develop problem solving skills, creativity and eye-hand coordination. The library supplies the Legos; you supply the kids.
Dancing for fun and fitness is what the adults will be doing at Let’s Move at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16. Everyone has fun dancing to videos, learning new dance moves and getting a great exercise workout. After Thursday, Let’s Move will take a break until after the holidays and start up again in January.
Many new movies have been added to the library’s DVD collection including a number of new holiday movies. Come in and browse through the new arrivals. With an Evergreen library card, patrons can check out up to 10 movies for a week. Remember, library cards from Syracuse, Milford, Noble County and other Evergreen libraries can be used at North Webster and vice versa.
November is deer hunting season, and pink and green camouflage is the fashion statement of the month. During November, read a book or listen to an audio book with a pink or camouflage cover; then enter the book’s title along with your name and phone number in the November drawing for a chance to win a prize. As a salute to our veterans, you can also select a book or audio book that is military inspired to enter in the drawing as well. The more books you check out throughout the month, the more chances you have to win.
