Warsaw Community Library Holds Santa Day Event
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library held a Santa Day event from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.
Children were able to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy refreshments and fun activities.
The first 90 children to attend the event received a free book. Friends of the Library member Roxanna Reffitt noted that the free books were going fast.
“The kids and the parents are really enjoying the event,” said Reffitt.
Participants were able to make a gingerbread house or reindeer snack mix in Santa’s workshop room.
In the Book Nook, a library staff member read stories to the children.
Attendees could create their own ornament to either take home with them or place on the tree in the library children’s room.
The event was sponsored by Friends of the Library.
