Zenal Brown
Zenal Brown, 81, Nappanee, died at 10:45 a.m., Monday, Dec. 25, 2017, at her son’s residence after a short illness. She was born Dec. 10, 1936, in Warsaw to Wilbur and Helen (Shultz) Grow.
On Nov. 14, 1954, in Decatur, she married Earl A. Brown. He preceded her in death, Sept. 16, 2017.
Brown was a lifetime area resident. She was a 1955 graduate of Warsaw High School. She loved flowers and had worked at Fred’s Flowers in Nappanee. She had also worked at Vitreous Steel and the Darn Yarn & Crazy Crafts in Nappanee. Brown enjoyed playing euchre with her card club. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Elkhart. Brown was a “Good Volunteer”.
Surviving are her children: Michael (Rhonda) Brown, David (Marsha Jones) Brown, Kim (Kendall) Young, all of Nappanee; grandchildren: Kyle (Katie) Young, Kurt (Jennifer) Young, James (Lisa) Allen, Matthew, Brandon, Corey Brown, Christina (Jake) Burris, Branson and Casey Boone; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Chris Fox, Warsaw; and brother, William (Marlene) Grow, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; a granddaughter, Jamie Fagan; and brothers: Elbert, Leo, and LaMoine Grow.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 29, at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel. Memorial services will begin at 4 pm. Pastor Dave Engbrecht will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee Missionary Church or Goshen Hospice.
