Deeds Named IASC Elementary Principal Of The Year
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools is proud to announce Harrison Elementary Principal Matt Deeds recent award of Elementary Principal of the Year by the Indiana Association of Student Councils.
Deeds is a graduate of Purdue University, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in secondary English education as well as his master’s degree in educational administration and supervision. Bringing a passion for student success both in and out of the classroom, Deeds served as a middle school educator from August 2006 to July 2012. In 2012, he transitioned into his administrative roles at Lakeview Middle School before becoming principal at Harrison in 2016.
Deeds notes during the course of the past year, he worked closely alongside Student Council Sponsor Dan Graney to promote numerous philanthropic service projects while developing character growth and leadership with students.
In addition to his service to students through his career, Deeds also brings his talents to several school and community organizations.
