Triton Basketball: ECA Tops Trojans, 46-25
BOURBON — Following a reprisal over Culver Community in the Bi-County consoles, Triton’s boys basketball team couldn’t make it two in a row with a lopsided 46-25 loss to Elkhart Christian Tuesday night.
No player cracked double figures for Triton, although Ross Johnson scored nine, and Dylan Hensley finished with eight in the loss for the Trojans (5-7), who scored on just 9 of 25 (36 percent) of their shots. ECA was paced by Weston Sage’s 14 and Jon Burns’ 10, meanwhile, as the Eagles (11-3) converted 18 of 32 (56.3 percent) shots for their eighth straight win.
Triton’s JV lost by another wide margin, 42-18. Tyler Hekcman ecored five points with six rebounds and three blocked shots. Desmond Wilkins finished with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead the JV Eagles.
Triton will play North Judson-San Pierre in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game at Plymouth Saturday.
