Area Police Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incidents:
- 3:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 10500 block North Grand Boulevard, Syracuse. Police spoke to a subject about their residence being broken into.
- 12:29 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 100 block North Franklin Street, Mentone. Police responded to a call of someone having spray painted on Cornerstone Church and a shed.
- 8:28 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 1800 block Crescent Drive, Warsaw. An individual reported that their vehicle was parked along the street and that another vehicle struck the front right of the vehicle.
- 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 100 block East High Street, Atwood. Police responded to a welfare check on several young children. A male subject was located at the residence that had an outstanding warrant and was arrested.
- 3:24 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 300 block South Oak Road, Milford. Police responded to a vehicle crash where the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
- 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 10600 block North Grove Road, Milford. Police responded to a call of items being removed from a house by family members.
- 2:58 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 7300 block South Caldwell Lake Drive, Claypool. Police responded to a call of a failure to stop after an accident. An individual reported that someone struck his parked pick-up truck sometime in the last few days.
- 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 100 block EMS B61G Lane, Warsaw. Police responded to a call of a person walking into a house after an individual’s parents had left for work.
- 10:23 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 300 block North Tower Street, Etna Green. Police responded to a call about the theft of scrap copper wire at Gulf Stream. Value: $22,500.
- 12:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 3800 block East Forest Glen Avenue, Leesburg. Police responded to a burglary call.
- 8:37 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 100 block EMS T16B Lane, Lessburg. Police responded to a call of suspicious activity. Officers located a male subject inside of the residence and arrested him for residential entry. Value: $300.
- 3:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 3900 block North Meadow Ride Drive, Warsaw. Police responded to a report of the theft of a coin change machine from a laundry area. Value: $520.
- 3:46 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 100 block EMS B9 Lane, Pierceton. Police responded to a reported theft of items from an individual’s shed and residence. The stolen goods include tires, a lawnmower and a stackable washer/dryer. Value: $3,950.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following incidents:
- 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Feb.4, 300 block North Hickory Street West, North Webster. Police responded to a call of two mailboxes being damaged.
- 8:32 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 7200 block East 650 North, North Webster. Police held a traffic stop, and an individual was transported to Kosciusko County Jail and booked for driving while suspended prior.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 200 block East Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse. Police responded to a call of invasion of privacy.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following incidents
- 10:06 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 200 block North Columbia Street/West Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Intoxicated subject found to be wanted on warrants. Subject was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment then transported to Kosciusko County Jail for booking on six warrants.
- 6:14 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 500 block Wexford Place, Warsaw. Police responded to a hit and run accident on Wexford Place.
- 9:42 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 400 block South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Police responded to a call of a counterfeit bill used at Village Pantry.
- 9:10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2400 block Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Police impounded the vehicle and confiscated the license plate of an individual.
- 10:29 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 400 block Anchorage Rd and North Detroit Street, Warsaw. A traffic stop occurred, and an individual was arrested for reckless driving.
- 8:53 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 100 block EMS T16B Lane, Leesburg. The department assisted the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department on a call of suspicious activity.
- 3:29 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 1200 block of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Employees of Meijer reported theft of cologne and miscellaneous merchandise.
- 3:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2100 block East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Police responded to a report on a lost or stolen license plate.
- 1:09 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2000 block North Sunset Drive, Warsaw. Police responded to a report of a fraud.
- 12:44 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 100 block Petro Drive, Warsaw. Police responded to a report of a license plate being lost.
