MILFORD—The Milford Public Library will host the following events during the week of Feb. 12.
BEAT THE WINTER BLUES EVENT SERIES
Does it seem like winter is dragging on forever? Beat the Winter Blues at the library! Anyone age 18 and up is invited to come to the library and bring a friend to play chocolate bingo at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12. Enjoy a mini spa night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22,and make your own body scrub. These events are free and no library card is needed! Please sign up at the adult circulation desk.
VALENTINE’S DAY STORY TIME
Join us for Story Time at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 or at 7 p.m.Thursday, Feb. 15. Make a present for someone you love and play bingo with us! If you’d like to attend Story Time, sign up at the children’s circulation desk or call (574) 658-4312.

GRAPHIC NOVELS AT THE LIBRARY
Graphic novels are perfect for reluctant readers, those without much time to read, or anyone who enjoys a fun read.
From the creators of Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes new spy thriller Velvet: The Man Who Stole the World. Other new thrilling reads include volume seven of Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and volume five of Deadly Class by Rick Remender. The second book in the sci-fi satire B**** Planet series, President B****, is also available.
If you can’t get enough of The Walking Dead, try Here’s Negan! and volume 27 of The Walking Dead: The Whisperer War by Robert Kirkman. If you like The Walking Dead, you’ll enjoy The Wicked and The Divine series by Kieron Gillen. These new graphic novels can be found in the new non-fiction section under 741.59.
New superhero graphic novels include volume six ofThe Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Who Run the World? Squirrels, and volume seven of Deadpool, World’s Greatest. The newest Ms. Marvel editions include volume seven, Damage Per Second, and volume eight, Mecca, are available now. The Adventures of John Blake: Mystery of the Ghost Ship by Philip Pullman, writer of The Golden Compass, is also available. These novels can be found in the teen graphic novel section.
The first Recess Warriors book by Marcus Emerson, Hero is a Four-Letter Word, is available now, as is the sequel, Bad Guy is a Two-Word Word. The Dog Man series by Dav Pikey, writer of Captain Underpants, is also available now in the children’s department.
