Daddy’s Little Sweetheart Dance Offers Twice The Fun
WARSAW — Twice the dancing and twice the fun was had with this year’s Daddy’s Little Sweetheart Dance hosted by the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department.
Due to popular demand, this year’s dance was held on two days, Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10. Even with the two dates, the 300 tickets still sold out. Recreation Director Sheila Wieringa stated that after the event was sold out, 19 more people called for tickets. With two dates, the availability better matched the demand than previous years when tickets sold out in a matter of days.
This year’s theme was “Under the Sea.” Little girls were able to create special, enchanting memories as they danced under the lights, enjoyed desserts and had a photo taken to be mailed to their home after the event.
Walking through the open dance floor, one could see fathers laughing and chatting with each other as their daughters giggled together over the snack table, fathers swinging their ladies around on the dance floor and even a couple father-daughter selfies.
The Daddy’s Little Sweetheart Dance is a special event that the Warsaw Parks and Recreation plans to continue to honor the special bond between a father and daughter.
