Area Teams Land Several On All-NLC Hoops List
GOSHEN – The Northern Lakes Conference issued its official list of All-NLC performers for girls basketball Tuesday, and the top half of the conference saw two players each land on the first team.
Champion Northridge, at 7-0, had Brooke McKinley and Morgan Litwiler named All-NLC and coach Doug Springer named Coach of the Year for the third straight year. A tie for second place at 5-2 between NorthWood and Warsaw had each team net a pair of All-NLC performers, Savannah Feenstra and Maddy Payne for the Panthers, and Kaylee Patton and Maddie Ryman for the Tigers. Wawasee and Plymouth, which tied for fourth at 3-4 overall, had Casey Schroeder and Aubrey Kuhn honored for the Warriors and Halle Reichard and Alli Andrews for the Pilgrims.
Rounding out the All-NLC selections were Sierra Peete for Memorial (2-5) and Alexa Porter for Concord (1-6).
Goshen (2-5) had two named Honorable Mention in Brynn Shoup-Hill and Jillian Kissinger. Also named Honorable Mention All-NLC were Ashley Beckler of Northridge, Kenzie Bergman of NorthWood, Kaci Bragg of Warsaw, Chandyn Redmond of Concord and Cydney Lapczynski of Memorial.
