Test-Drive Program Earns TVHS $6,000
AKRON — Rick and Val Kerlin of Kerlin Ford in Silver Lake were thanked by the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation Monday, Feb. 12 as they presented a check for $6,000 to Tippecanoe Valley High School Principal Chad Cripe.
The ceremonial check was presented as part of the Drive 4 UR School program, which was conducted last fall during the week of the football game against Manchester High School. The program allows participants to raise money by test-driving a Ford vehicle at a local dealership. The program, begun in 2007, has raised more than $35 million for charity. The check was presented at the regular meeting of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation’s Board of Trustees.
‘The donation from Kerlin will be used to support many activities at TVHS, including Boomerang Backpacks, student services and the general fund,” Cripe said.
