Warsaw Man Arrested For Domestic Battery And Strangulation
WARSAW—A Warsaw man was arrested for beating and strangling a woman.
Daniel Andrew Middleton, 54, 1603 Dot St., is being charged with strangulation, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Feb. 9, police responded to a report of domestic battery. When officers arrived, they saw a female subject whose eyeglasses were laying on a table, twisted up. The subject’s face and left side of her neck and throat area were red.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the female and Middleton got into an argument. Middleton began choking her and she thought she was going to lose consciousness.
The female called 911, and Middleton attempted to take the phone, threatening to beat her if she called the police.
When police spoke with Middleton, he said that he and the female were living together as spouses. Middleton said that their fight never got physical.
Middleton was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 9, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
