Two Suffer Minor Injuries In Early Sunday Slide-Off
PACKERTON — Two persons were slightly injured just after midnight Sunday, Feb. 18 when the vehicle they were traveling in slid off the road and hit a stump, according to police.
The accident involving an economy-sized pickup truck occurred on an ice-covered Packerton Road, south of CR 800S in southern Kosciusko County.
At approximately 12:18 a.m., firefighters from Sidney along with officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched for a personal injury accident with two persons complaining of head injuries. Both victims were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with what officers on the scene reported as mild injuries. Officers pointed to a stump lodged under the front axle of the vehicle as the likely reason for the injuries.
