Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton. Drivers: Julia D. Plemons, 34, Franklin Coveway East, Indiianapolis, and Kathleen S. Wright, 47, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton. Plemons’ vehicle slid left of center, striking the driver front tire area of Wright’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
6:31 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, South CR 400E and East CR 400S, Warsaw. Driver: Stephanie L. Shepherd, 35, East CR 500S, Warsaw. Shepherd’s vehicle slid due to slick road conditions and struck a guardrail. Damage up to $25,000.
2:06 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, Syracuse . Driver: Jorge A. Faustino Granados, East Beer Road, Milford. Granados stated he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle went off the roadway, striking a mailbox. Damage up to $5,000.
12:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, South Packerton Road, north of East CR 800S, Claypool. Driver: Andy J. Kindig, 53, East CR 800S, Claypool. Kindig stated he lost control of his vehicle due to ice on the roadway, resulting in his vehicle going into a ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
6:51 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, North CR 300E, south of East CR 100N, Warsaw. Driver: Justin M. Donovan, 35, North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Donovan advised he lost control of his vehicle due to slick road conditions, sliding off the road and striking a tree. Damage up to $5,000.
6:37 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, East Center Street and North CR 175E, Warsaw. Drivers: Jordan D. Northrup, 30, North Red Eye Drive, North Webster, and Hilary D. Rocha, East Clark Street, Warsaw. Northrup advised his vehicle slid through the intersection due to slick road conditions, striking Rocha’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
6:32 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, North CR 700W, Warsaw. Driver: David A. Mulldune, 67, North CR 700W, Warsaw. Mulldune advised he was northbound on CR 700W when he lost control of his vehicle due to slick road conditions. Mulldune’s vehicle went off the west side of the road, striking a fence. Damage up to $5,000.
6:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, East SR 14, east of South County Farm Road, Silver Lake. Driver: Timothy R. Plummer, 51, West Hill Lake Road, Claypool. Plummer stated he lost control of his vehicle due to snow on the roads. His vehicle went off the road and struck a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
4:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, North CR 500W and West CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Michael C. Damron, 25, North Walnut Street, Etna Green. Damron’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
4:31 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, South Ferguson Road and West CR 250S, Warsaw. Drivers: Tyrone L. McKinney, 29, West CR 250S, Warsaw, and Bradley A. Jeffers, 35, East Section Street, Claypool. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Damage up to $25,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:58 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, North Main Street, North Webster. Driver: David M. Norris, 19, West Crystal Flash Road, North Webster. Norris advised he was doing donuts in a church parking lot when he lost control of his vehicle, striking a fence. Damage up to $750.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:21 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, Wexford Place, Warsaw. Driver: Valeria N. Brewer, 31, Oak Brook Place, Warsaw. Brewer advised that her vehicle slid as she was westbound on Old Colony Road, resulting in her vehicle striking a vehicle parked at 830 Wexford Place. Damage up to $2,500.
9:56 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, East Smith Street, Warsaw. Driver: Pual M. Carboneau, 16, Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. Carboneau stated his vehicle started to slide as he was driving west on Winona Avenue. He overcorrected, resulting in the vehicle spinning around and sliding down an embankment, into a parking lot where his vehicle struck an unoccupied, parked vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:52 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, Old Colony Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Jason L. Shepherd, 29, South Union Street, Warsaw, and Timothy J. Bridegroom, 38, South Oak Brook Place, Warsaw. Shepherd advised his vehicle began to slide as he was going around a curve in the road, resulting in his vehicle striking Bridegroom’s vehicle in the opposite lane of travel. Damage up to $5,000.
3:48 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, North SR 15 and Jalynn Street. Drivers: Penny I. Shewman, 50, West CR 500S, Mentone, Kimberly A. Kaylor, 55, East CR 350S, Pierceton, and Benjamin L. Taylor, 41, North CR 750W, Warsaw. Shewman’s vehicle rear-ended Kaylor’s vehicle, causing Kaylor’s vehicle to impact Taylor’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:49 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, US 30 and Orthopaedic Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Niya N. Sainer, 27, East Market Street, Warsaw, and Alexandros Makridakis, 30, Rutland Lane, Fort Wayne. Sainer’s vehicle rear-ended Makridakis’ vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
4:18 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, South SR 15, south of West Union Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Wanda K. Simpson, 47, West CR 1300N, Silver Lake, and Meghan I. Hawn, 22, South CR 500W, Claypool. Simpson’s vehicle rear-ended Hawn’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
1:31 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, West Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Hannah M. Alcala, 27, Rattington Circle, Warsaw. A pedestrian advised she was walking behind a line of cars waiting to use the ATM at PNC Bank parking lot when Alcala began backing her vehicle up, striking the pedestrian in the left buttock. The pedestrian stated she could feel where she was hit in her buttocks but refused EMS. Damage up to $750.
8:01 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Amanda L. Chavez, 40, Lakeview Drive, Winona Lake. Chavez advised she was turning in to a parking space when her vehicle slid on the ice, resulting in her vehicle striking the driver side rear of a parked vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
