Wawasee Kiwanis Wraps Up Successful Trivia Night
Wawasee Kiwanis hosted its seventh annual trivia contest last night, March 1, at the Syracuse Community Center. During the event, DJ Sticky Boots tested the knowledge of 22 teams on an array of questions from sports and pop culture to language and Disney. The event, which ran from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., held four quarters of trivia goodness, plus music played by Sticky Boots.
Team Holland Deuce from Lippert Components came out on top as the overall winner with 117 points. Team members included Aaron Holland, Jen Snyder, Missy Guerrero and Cole Warner. They each received medals from the Wawasee Kiwanis and got to take home the trophy, which was sponsored by Lippert Components.
In the service club category, Team B Squad, representing the Wawasee Kiwanis, took home medals with 105 points. Team members included Gale Baumgartner, Larry Martindale, Tony Pawlicki and Tyler McLead.
All proceeds from the trivia contest will go toward several youth-based organizations within the Syracuse-Wawasee community. For information about the Wawasee Kiwanis, visit wawaseekiwanis.org.
