Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:59 p.m. Monday, March 5, North SR19, south of West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Drivers: Todd A. Wilson, 35, North SR19 20, Etna Green, and Jay D. Miller, 23, North CR 900W, Nappanee. Both Wilson and Miller were traveling north on SR19 when Wilson’s vehicle rear-ended Miller’s vehicle. Wilson’s vehicle ran off the roadway and into a field. Damage up to $25,000.
3:32 p.m. Thursday, March 1, West Old Road 30, near West CR 100N, Warsaw. Drivers: Jay K. Myers, 20, East CR 100N, Akron, and Dawn M. Mauk, 66, West Snyder Road, Warsaw. Myers was driving west on Old Road 30, following Mauk’s vehicle. Mauk’s vehicle slowed to turn left. When Myers applied his brakes, he lost control of his vehicle, which slid sideways and struck the rear of Mauk’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:12 p.m. Monday, March 5, North SR15, south of East Main Street. Drivers: Roger D. Cauffman, 64, 5th Street, Winona Lake, and Georgina L. Walsh, 50, South Redwood Road, Warsaw. Kauffman was driving south on North SR15 and stated that traffic was slowing for an intersection. Walsh’s vehicle stopped in front of him and he was unable to avoid a rear-end collision. Damage up to $2,500.
1:15 p.m. Monday, March 5, North Parker Street, near Husky Trail. Drivers: Hillary J. Overholser, 35, County Road 11, Goshen, and Kim T. Nguyen, 57, North Lincoln Street, Warsaw. Overholser was driving north on Parker Street and Nguyen’s vehicle was stopped for traffic. Overholser’s vehicle was unable to stop before rear-ending Nguyen’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
12:59 p.m. Friday, March 2, North Parker Street, near Husky Trail. Drivers: Teresa L. Calhoun, 61, EMS C30 Lane, Warsaw, Juan R. Medina Ortiz, 19, EMS D1 Lane, Syracuse, and Nancy N. Marshall, 42, North East Street, Milford. Calhoun’s vehicle was behind Ortiz’s. She had her foot on the brake when her vehicle accelerated and rear-ended Ortiz’s vehicle. Because of this, Ortiz’s vehicle was pushed into Marshall’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
