New Director Is On Board At Milestones Early Education Center
NORTH WEBSTER — Milestones Early Education Center, North Webster, has a new director. It is Denise Carroll, Pierceton, who will begin her duties Monday, March 19. She is replacing former Director Trisha Trimble, who resigned last week.
The center is more commonly known as North Webster Day Care Center although the name was changed a couple of years ago.
It is a non profit organization sponsored by many area foundations, organizations, businesses, individuals and fundraising endeavors.
Board of Directors President Lindsey Grossnickle confirmed the information. She noted, “Through the generous support of United Way of Kosciusko County and Kosciusko County Community Foundation, everything is back on track at the center. We are so appreciative of these organizations. Also, our teachers and staff have pitched in as well as former Director Heather Coy to fill the void left by Trisha’s departure. We will be issuing a statement of gratitude when the funds are received.”
Trimble had worked at the center in several capacities before assuming the director position when Coy left for another position. She had been employed for several years.
The center provides preschool and day care at its location, 111 S. Harrison St., for approximately 30 children as well as running the Latchkey After-School Program for about 30 more. The center runs the Latchkey Summer Program as well.
Current members of the board of directors are Grossnickle; Shannon Trowbridge, vice president; Tonya Haywood, secretary; Leeanne Francis; and Debra Trojan.
