Pathways Radio And TV Students Win Awards

SYRACUSE — Sixteen of the radio and television students of the Pathways cooperative based at Wawasee High School, representing 93.7 FM The Mix and CPG-TV (Collective Production Group), attended the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters conference at the University of Indianapolis Monday, March 12. They were among 34 schools and 883 students and staff in attendance.
Pathways students entered several radio and TV categories. In the radio sportscast category, Andrew Mamone and Michael Shetler placed first (last year they placed third). The Mix placed first in radio imaging. This was the first time the cooperative has placed first in the state competition.
On the TV side, Carlos Perez placed first in cinematography.
Other students participating included Alex Steele (audio interview), Carr Reinhard (audio interview), Dane Morris (audio talk show), Dylan Shepherd (audio drama), Lila Fierek (audio in-depth), Alex Greer (video spot production), Anthony Bradshaw and Chris Rogers (sound design), Conner Lucas (music video), Cory Dunivan (video in-depth) and Robert Schmucker (video spot production), Anita Denney (radio imaging), Kyle Cole (radio imaging) and Austin Vetor (radio imaging).
Carlos Perez, Andrew Mamone and Michael Shetler are Fairfield High School students, the rest are Wawasee High School students.
